UPCOMING EVENTS JANUARY 25-29 will be Hurricane Elementary School’s SELFIE Week, educating the students on the importance of self-care. Each letter in the word “Selfie” stands for an important self-care habit. Each day of our SELFIE WEEK, we will be celebrating these habits in a fun way. Monday: S LEEPWear pajamas to school Tuesday: EXERCISE & EAT RIGHTWear exercise clothes. Play ball with visitors from our high school boys’ and girls’ basketball teams Wednesday: LIGHTNeon Day–wear bright or white colors Thursday: FUN & IINTERACTIONWear a crazy hat or crazy hair. Get ready to meet some very special piglets! Friday: ENGAGE IN SERVICESchool Spirit–wear red/black. Participate in a project to keep our school clean February 1-11 Will be our “Kiss a Pig” PTO fundraiser. After meeting the piglets during SELFIE week, students will choose which teachers get to kiss those pigs by voting with their fundraiser money. Watch for flyers! February 11th will be the maturation program for 5th graders.
